On Leith Walk we painted the frontages of two related businesses, Sett Studios at the bottom of the Walk and Settlement Projects at the top. The colour schemes were chosen to link the two buildings visually. Both needed a lot of preparation before painting.

Can you paint my shop or office without closing the business?
In most cases, yes. We split the work into sections and plan it around your opening hours, so customers and staff can keep using the premises. Where a job really needs an area closed, we'll agree the timing with you in advance and keep that period as short as we can. Tell us your busiest times when we quote.
How much does commercial or shopfront painting cost?
We give free, no-obligation quotes after looking at the premises. The price depends on the size of the area, the surfaces and their condition, how much repair is needed, access, any specialist coatings, and when the work has to happen (for example out of hours). You'll get a written quote that clearly lists everything included.
Can you match our brand colours?
Yes. We can colour-match paint to your brand guidelines, signage or an existing sample. That way your shopfront, interior and any signage look consistent. Where possible, we'll paint test patches so you can see the colour on the actual surface, and in the light on your street, before we commit.
Do I need permission to repaint my shopfront?
Repainting in the same colour usually doesn't need consent. If your building is listed, or in a conservation area, changing the colour or the look of a shopfront may need approval from the City of Edinburgh Council. If you rent, check your lease too. We'll mention anything we spot, but the owner or tenant is responsible for getting consent.
Do you work on larger commercial and industrial jobs?
Yes. Alongside shops and offices we take on industrial units, warehouses and hospitality venues. Larger jobs are planned in phases with clear timescales, so you know what's happening and when. We're a small, hands-on team, so tell us your deadline and we'll be honest about whether we can meet it.
